Deborah Rivera

Deborah Ann Battista Rivera began writing in 2017, documenting her life journey with the intention of sharing experiences that had shaped her into a fighter. When her brother passed away, grief silenced her writing. The words she had been finding suddenly disappeared, and the project she had started seemed impossible to continue. It was her doctors and her husband who saw what she could not see in that moment: her story mattered, and others needed to hear it.

Their encouragement led to ‘Miracle of 1968,’ a book born from Deborah’s determination to ensure others never surrender to life’s difficulties. She writes from a place of lived experience, understanding that everyone gets one chance at life and that chance should be used to pursue goals and dreams without compromise. Her message refuses complexity or sugarcoating: life brings challenges constantly, but moving forward remains a choice each person makes.

Deborah’s philosophy is grounded in equality and perseverance. She believes that success truly belongs to those who keep going, who refuse to let criticism or comparison stop them, and who understand that accomplishing dreams requires personal commitment rather than external validation.

She speaks directly about life’s two gifts: life itself and death. This awareness drives her urgency to reach readers who might be considering giving up. Deborah wants her book to inspire people to keep fighting, to recognize that their dreams can come true if they commit to making them real.
